Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 19, 2026

هذه ترجمة عربية مقدّمة للتيسير. وفي حال أي اختلاف، يُعتدّ بالنص الإنجليزي هو الملزِم.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Plantora mobile application and this website (together, the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the App, you enter into a binding agreement with Plantora. These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. Where you hold a business account, the Business Account Terms shown and accepted inside the App also apply, and in the event of a conflict about business account matters, those Business Account Terms and Section 9 below control.

2. Eligibility and Age

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Plantora. The App is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under 13.
  • If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has given permission for your use of the App and has reviewed these Terms on your behalf.
  • You must be of legal age to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction to operate a business account, buy or sell on the marketplace, or place an order.
  • We may ask for age confirmation and may suspend any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 13.
  • You confirm that your use of the App complies with the law where you live, and that you are not barred from using it under any applicable sanctions or restrictions.

3. Account Types

3.1 Personal accounts

A personal account is the default. It lets you track plants, post to Bloom, Explore and Stories, message other users, use Flora AI, earn grower points, browse and buy, and list individual items for sale on the marketplace as a private seller.

3.2 Business accounts (Company Shops)

A business account is granted only after you submit a business application and it is approved by Plantora. A verified business account unlocks a Company Shop storefront with a product catalogue, cart, checkout, order records, customer reviews with merchant replies, and a seller dashboard. Additional obligations apply — see Section 9.

While a business account is approved, certain profile fields are locked to keep the storefront identity stable, including your username and the shop name shown to buyers.

3.3 Switching back to personal

You may request to return to a personal account through the in-app appeal flow. On approval, business features are withdrawn and the Company Shop is deactivated. Order, receipt and review records associated with completed transactions are retained as described in the Privacy Policy and may be required for dispute or legal purposes.

3.4 Multiple accounts

The App supports switching between accounts you own. You may not create accounts to evade a suspension, to inflate engagement, points or ratings, or to impersonate another person or business.

4. Your Account

  • You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials, your device, and your biometric app-lock and session settings.
  • You must give accurate information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • One account works on both the App and this website. Do not choose “Trust this browser” on a computer that other people use.
  • If you start signing up but do not confirm the email code within 24 hours, we delete the unfinished account so the email address and username become available again.
  • Tell us promptly at admin@plantora.info if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. Community Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, obscene, violent, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or that infringes anyone’s rights.
  • Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation, credentials or verification status.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk or send unsolicited commercial messages to other users through chat, comments or Stories.
  • Post another person’s private or identifying information without their consent.
  • Manipulate engagement, ratings, reviews, points or the leaderboard, including through fake accounts, bought engagement, or reviews of your own shop.
  • File knowingly false reports against other users or their content.
  • Attempt to bypass content moderation, App Check attestation, rate limits or other security measures.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App’s operation or infrastructure.
  • Upload malware, or use the App to distribute spam or phishing.

6. Your Content and Licence

  • You retain ownership of the content you post — photos, videos, Stories, listings, captions, comments and reviews.
  • By posting, you grant Plantora a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for format and display that content within the App and its share previews, for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared or redistributed by other users, and for content we must retain for legal or dispute reasons.
  • You are solely responsible for what you upload and confirm you have the rights to share it, including the rights of anyone appearing in it.
  • Stories are removed automatically 24 hours after posting. Automatic removal is not a guarantee of confidentiality — other users may screenshot or record content while it is live.
  • Feedback or suggestions you send us may be used without obligation or compensation.

7. Content Moderation

  • Images and videos uploaded to Bloom, Explore, Stories and marketplace listings are automatically scanned on upload for prohibited content before or shortly after they become visible.
  • Content that violates these Terms may be removed, restricted or hidden without prior notice. Removal may happen automatically, without human review.
  • Any user can report content, an account, or an individual private message. Reports are reviewed and may lead to removal or account action.
  • Repeat or severe violations may result in permanent suspension. For the most severe categories — including sexual content involving minors, and content that is illegal on its face — we operate a one-strike policy: a single confirmed violation may result in immediate and permanent termination, and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
  • Automated moderation is imperfect in both directions. We do not guarantee that all violating content is caught, or that non-violating content is never removed in error.
  • You may appeal a moderation decision by contacting admin@plantora.info.

8. Marketplace

8.1 Classifieds model

Plantora is not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller. We do not process payments, hold funds in escrow, take possession of goods, or arrange or guarantee delivery. We make no warranty as to the quality, safety, legality, authenticity or accuracy of any listing. Disputes about a purchase are between the buyer and the seller. We may take moderation action against fraudulent accounts, but we are not responsible for resolving disputes or for any loss arising from a transaction.

8.2 Prohibited and restricted items

You may not list, sell or advertise:

  • Counterfeit, stolen, or illegally obtained goods.
  • Plants, seeds or plant material whose sale, possession or movement is prohibited or restricted, including protected or endangered species (for example under CITES), and material that breaches quarantine or phytosanitary rules.
  • Controlled substances, or plants cultivated for them, where prohibited by law.
  • Weapons, explosives, hazardous or flammable materials outside legal channels.
  • Live animals, human remains, or body parts.
  • Medicines, supplements or health products making unapproved claims.
  • Personal data, account credentials, or access to another user’s account.
  • Anything else illegal to sell where you or the buyer is located.

8.3 Pesticides and agricultural chemicals

The marketplace includes a Pesticide category. Pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers and similar agricultural chemicals are regulated products. If you list them, you additionally agree that:

  • You hold every licence, registration and authorization required to sell and supply them in your jurisdiction, and you sell only products that are lawfully registered for sale there.
  • Your listing accurately states the product, its active ingredients, concentration and manufacturer, and does not repackage, decant, dilute or relabel a product outside its original approved packaging.
  • You will not sell restricted-use products to buyers who are not legally permitted to receive them, and you will not sell them to anyone under 18.
  • You supply the product with its original labelling and safety information, and you comply with all storage, handling and transport rules that apply to it.
  • You will not make safety, efficacy or health claims that go beyond the approved label.

Plantora does not verify licences, product registrations or chemical safety, and provides no guidance on the safe use of any chemical product. Misuse of pesticides can cause serious injury, property damage and environmental harm. Buyers must read and follow the manufacturer’s label and consult a qualified professional. Plantora accepts no liability arising from the sale, purchase, handling or use of any product listed in this category.

8.4 Listing accuracy

Your listings must accurately describe the item, its condition, stock and price, use your own photographs or images you have the right to use, and be placed in the correct category. Listings for items you do not have, or that exist to redirect buyers elsewhere, are not permitted.

9. Company Shops and Seller Obligations

9.1 Verification is not endorsement

Plantora’s review of a business application is a basic administrative check for account setup only. It is not verification of your business’s legitimacy, financial standing, product quality or legal compliance, and it is not an endorsement or guarantee by Plantora. The verified badge signals that documents were submitted and reviewed, nothing more.

9.2 Truthful documents, and the licence your country requires

Plantora operates across eight countries, and each one has its own commercial registration or trade licence regime. Your application is reviewed against the licence of the country your shop is registered in: a Kuwaiti CR does not qualify you to trade as a business in Saudi Arabia, and the reverse is equally true. You must hold, and submit, the instrument your own country requires.

CountryWhat a business seller must hold
KuwaitCommercial Registration (CR) and the associated commercial licence
Saudi ArabiaCommercial Registration (Sijil Tijari)
United Arab EmiratesTrade licence from the relevant emirate’s licensing authority
QatarCommercial Registration and commercial licence
BahrainCommercial Registration (CR)
OmanCommercial Registration (CR)
IraqCommercial Registration
JordanCommercial Registration and the applicable vocational licence

All eight of these countries require a business to hold a commercial registration or licence before selling goods commercially, including online and through social media. Trading as a business without one is a matter between you and your own regulator. Plantora does not advise on which instrument applies to you, and approving your application is not a determination that you hold the correct one.

The country recorded for your shop must be the country your licence was actually issued in. Registering a shop under a country you are not licensed in is grounds for immediate removal.

By submitting a business application you certify that every document and detail you provide — including your commercial registration or trade licence, the authorized signatory’s identification, the authorized signature, and your business name and contact details — is genuine, current, and accurately represents your business. You are solely responsible for their authenticity. Providing false, forged or misrepresented information is grounds for immediate removal of your Shop and may expose you to legal prosecution.

How we store and protect those documents is set out in the Privacy Policy, Section 1.5. In short: they are never published, never shared with third parties, and used only to review your application.

9.3 Operating a Shop

As a verified business seller you agree to:

  • Maintain a valid commercial registration or licence for the country your shop is registered in, for as long as you operate as a business on Plantora, and tell us if it lapses or is revoked.
  • List only products you are legally permitted to sell, described accurately, with prices inclusive of any tax or fee you are required to state.
  • Keep stock levels current and honour the price shown at the time an order is placed.
  • Shops are responsible for following Kuwait’s rules for their prices and discounts.
  • Fulfil accepted orders within the timeframe you communicate, and update the order status honestly as it progresses.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in good faith and within a reasonable time.
  • Operate a fair returns, refund and cancellation practice consistent with consumer protection law in your jurisdiction, and make it clear to buyers before purchase.
  • Use buyer information — including names, phone numbers and delivery addresses received through an order — only to fulfil that order. You must not use it for marketing, add it to a mailing list, sell it, or disclose it to anyone other than as needed for delivery, and you must handle it in line with applicable data protection law.
  • Not solicit reviews in exchange for goods, discounts or payment, and not review your own Shop or a competitor’s through any account.
  • Not use merchant replies to reviews to harass, threaten or expose personal information about a reviewer.

9.4 Sole responsibility and indemnity

You are solely responsible for the legality of your business activities, the products you list, and every interaction, transaction and communication with customers through your account. Any claim or regulatory action arising from your business activity is between you and that party. You agree to indemnify Plantora against any loss, damage or legal cost arising from your business conduct. We may suspend or terminate a business account without liability on credible reports of fraud, illegal activity or repeated customer complaints.

9.5 Shop data and statistics

Plantora can view your shop’s data and statistics, including sales, orders, products and the figures on your Stats page, to run and improve the platform.

10. Cash on Delivery

Company Shop orders are placed on a cash-on-delivery basis. Plantora does not process, collect, hold or refund any payment at any point.

  • Payment is made directly to the seller or their courier at the point of delivery. Plantora never takes payment and will never ask you to pay Plantora for a marketplace order.
  • The order total shown in the App is the amount the seller has stated. Delivery charges, taxes or other fees are set by the seller and must be disclosed by the seller before the order is placed.
  • By placing an order you commit to being available to receive it and to pay the stated amount on delivery. Repeatedly refusing or failing to receive orders you placed may result in restriction of your ability to order.
  • By accepting an order a seller commits to delivering what was ordered, at the stated price, within the timeframe communicated.
  • Cancellations, returns, refunds, exchanges and any dispute about condition, quantity or non-delivery are handled directly between the buyer and the seller, under the seller’s stated policy and applicable consumer protection law. Plantora is not a party to that process and has no obligation to refund, reimburse or compensate either side.
  • Order records and receipts generated in the App are a convenience record of what was ordered. They are not a payment confirmation, a guarantee of delivery, or evidence that Plantora holds any funds.
  • We may take moderation action against accounts that systematically fail to deliver or fail to pay, but this is an integrity measure, not a remedy owed to you.

11. Grower Points and Leaderboard

  • Grower points are earned through in-app activity — completing care tasks, adding plants, running a diagnosis, posting, commenting, liking, following, and opening care guides.
  • Points are a score, not a currency. They have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, gifted or exchanged, and are not property.
  • There is currently no redemption programme. Points cannot be exchanged for discounts, cashback, vouchers, products or any other benefit. Any future redemption programme would be introduced under separate terms, at our discretion, and nothing in these Terms promises one.
  • Points are not linked to purchases. Buying or selling on the marketplace neither earns nor spends points.
  • Points earned may be used to rank accounts on a public Top Growers leaderboard. Point values, earning rules, the leaderboard format and its visibility may be changed, reset or withdrawn at any time, without notice and without compensation.
  • Manipulating points — through automation, multiple accounts, artificial engagement, or repetitive actions taken solely to earn points — is a breach of these Terms. We may adjust or zero a balance, remove an account from the leaderboard, or suspend the account.
  • Points are tied to your account and are lost when it is deleted. They are not recoverable and are not transferable to another account.

12. Flora AI and Plant Care Information

Flora AI is informational only and is not professional advice. Plant identifications, diagnoses, treatment suggestions, care schedules, care guides and any other automated or editorial guidance in the App are provided for general information. They are not a substitute for a qualified horticulturist, agronomist, arborist, plant pathologist, pest-control professional, veterinarian, or medical professional.
  • AI-generated output can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently mistaken. Identifications may be incorrect; a diagnosis may miss a condition or name the wrong one.
  • Do not rely on Flora for safety decisions. Never use it to decide whether a plant, berry, leaf or fungus is safe to eat, touch, burn or give to a child or animal, and never use it to decide how to apply a chemical treatment. Misidentification of a plant or fungus can be fatal.
  • If a person or animal has ingested or reacted to a plant, contact a medical professional, poison control, or a veterinarian immediately. Do not use the App for that decision.
  • Always read and follow the manufacturer’s label before applying any pesticide, fertilizer or treatment, whatever Flora suggests.
  • Flora may reference products available in the marketplace. That is not an endorsement or a warranty of any product or seller.
  • You are solely responsible for what you do with the App’s guidance. We accept no liability for plant loss, crop loss, property damage, financial loss, injury or illness arising from reliance on it.
  • Flora depends on third-party AI services and may be unavailable, delayed, degraded, changed or withdrawn at any time without notice.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may warn, restrict, suspend or permanently terminate an account, remove content, or withdraw a verified badge, where we reasonably believe that you have:

  • Breached these Terms, the Business Account Terms, or the Privacy Policy.
  • Posted content that violates Section 5 or Section 7, or listed a prohibited item under Section 8.
  • Committed, attempted or facilitated fraud — including non-delivery after payment, payment refusal on delivery as a pattern, fake listings, or fake reviews.
  • Submitted false, forged or misleading business verification documents.
  • Manipulated points, ratings, reviews, engagement or the leaderboard.
  • Harassed, threatened or endangered another user, or misused buyer or seller personal information.
  • Attempted to circumvent moderation, security, App Check or a prior suspension.
  • Attracted credible repeated complaints as a seller, or let a required licence lapse.
  • Used the App in a way that exposes Plantora or other users to legal liability or security risk.

Where practical and lawful we will tell you what happened and how to appeal, to admin@plantora.info. For severe violations under Section 7, action may be immediate and permanent without prior warning. We may also suspend an account temporarily while investigating. Termination does not entitle you to compensation, and it does not discharge obligations you already owe to another user, such as delivering a paid-for order.

You may stop using the App at any time. You can deactivate your account with a 30-day recovery window, or delete it and your data immediately, from Settings.

14. Intellectual Property

The Plantora name, logo, App design, interface, editorial guides and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease or create derivative works from the App’s code or branding, or remove any proprietary notice, without our written permission. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App as intended by these Terms.

If you believe content on Plantora infringes your copyright or trade mark, contact admin@plantora.info with enough detail to identify the work and the content in question.

15. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE ABOVE, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE; THAT ANY AI-GENERATED PLANT IDENTIFICATION, DIAGNOSIS OR CARE RECOMMENDATION WILL BE ACCURATE; THAT CONTENT MODERATION WILL DETECT ALL VIOLATING CONTENT; THAT ANY LISTING, PRODUCT OR SELLER IS LEGITIMATE, LAWFUL, SAFE OR ACCURATELY DESCRIBED; OR THAT ANY ORDER WILL BE DELIVERED OR ANY PAYMENT MADE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANTORA AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, PLANTS, CROPS OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP — INCLUDING MARKETPLACE AND COMPANY SHOP TRANSACTIONS, CASH-ON-DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS, USER CONTENT, MODERATION DECISIONS, GROWER POINTS, AND AI-GENERATED PLANT IDENTIFICATIONS, DIAGNOSES OR CARE ADVICE — WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100, OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID PLANTORA IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Because Plantora does not process payments for marketplace orders, amounts you pay a seller are not amounts paid to Plantora and do not count towards that cap. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Plantora and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your content, your listings or transactions, your business activity, your misuse of another user’s personal information, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

  • Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
  • Informal resolution first: before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at admin@plantora.info and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
  • Venue: any dispute not resolved informally is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kuwait.
  • Disputes between users — including every dispute about a marketplace or Company Shop order — are between those users. Plantora is not a party, is not an arbitrator, and has no obligation to participate in or resolve them.
  • If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new revision date, and material changes are notified in-app or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using the App and delete your account.

We may also add, change, suspend or discontinue any feature of the App at any time, including Flora AI, Stories, Company Shops, grower points and the leaderboard.
